     Cheri here, just wanted to drop by and give you a few tips from my expert business experience and get you ready for the rush of homes we are about to see hit the market.

     Spring is just around the corner and so many people are waiting until then to list their homes. Don't find yourself in the middle of a saturated market inventory is currently low, and the market is already heating up. Here are some tips to help your home put its best foot forward and outshine the competition. That will bring you a faster sale and a higher price overall for your home.

Get Your Home Ready To Sell

1 Edge, mow and fertilize the lawn. Reseed sparse areas. Trim hedges, weed lawns and flowerbeds, and prune trees. Cut back overgrown shrubbery. Remove oil stains from driveway and garage. Keep walks and driveway swept or free of ice.

Wash the windows inside and out.

3 Hire a cleaning service to thoroughly clean the interior.

4 Paint the ceilings white and the walls neutral tones to give warmth and dimension. 

 Repair cracks, holes and damage to plaster, wallboard, wallpaper, paint, and tiles.The smallest damage makes a home look less cared for.

6 Replace damaged windowpanes, moldings and woodwork.

7 Repair drippy faucets and showerheads. Unclog slow drains.

8 Shampoo carpets, scrub and wax linoleum or wood floors.

9 Clean out the fireplace and lay some logs in it.

10 Mend torn screens. Clean out all window tracks.

l1 Replace burned-out light bulbs. Use brighter light bulbs and make sure all closet lighting works.

l2 Re-nail creaking boards or stairs; lubricate squeaking doors.

l3 Clean all appliances (especially refrigerator and oven).

l4 Replace old toilet seats and shower curtains.

l5 Clear all cobwebs from corners and doorways. This makes a big impression in buyers if it is not done. 

l6 Wash all light switches, handrails and doorknobs.

l7 Reseal cracks in foundation, steps, walkways, walls and patios. Power-wash the exterior.

l8 Clean and align gutters and downspouts; clean the chimney.
